Role & responsibilities

- Design and develop automation machines, components, fixtures, and assemblies as per customer requirements.
- Prepare 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD / SolidWorks / other CAD software.
- Develop concepts, layouts, and detailed mechanical designs for automation systems.
- Design and modify Vibratory Bowl Feeders, Step Feeders, Linear Feeders, Conveyors, fixtures, and workstations.
- Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings with dimensions, tolerances, material specifications, and BOM.
- Select suitable materials, bearings, motors, sensors, pneumatic components, and other mechanical components.
- Coordinate with production, purchase, electrical, and assembly teams for smooth machine development.
- Review designs for functionality, manufacturability, cost, and ease of assembly.
- Support machine assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and design modifications.
- Analyze design issues and implement corrective actions during machine trials.
- Coordinate with customers and vendors for technical requirements and design clarifications.
- Prepare BOM, part lists, fabrication drawings, and assembly drawings.
- Ensure designs meet customer specifications, quality requirements, and project timelines.
- Maintain design documents, revision records, and technical documentation.




- Provide technical support during installation and commissioning of automation equipment.

Preferred candidate profile

- Diploma / Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 05 years of experience in mechanical design, automation, or machine design.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks / AutoCAD or similar 2D/3D CAD software.
- Good knowledge of machine design, mechanical components, fabrication, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in designing automation machines, feeders, conveyors, fixtures, and special-purpose machines (SPM).
- Knowledge of BOM preparation, GD&T;, tolerances, material selection, and engineering drawings.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and convert them into practical design solutions.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with production, assembly, purchase, electrical, and vendors.
- Valuable communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to visit customer sites for installation, commissioning, and technical support, when required.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects within deadlines.
