Role & responsibilities

- Operate conventional lathe and milling machines for machining components as per drawings.

- Perform turning, facing, drilling, threading, boring, grooving, and other machining operations.

- Perform milling, slotting, keyway, drilling, and surface machining operations.

- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.

- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining methods.

- Measure components using Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, and other measuring instruments.

- Ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per specifications.

- Perform machine setup, tool setting, and workpiece alignment.

- Inspect finished components and maintain required quality standards.

- Perform basic machine maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized.

- Follow safety procedures and company quality standards.

- Coordinate with the design, production, and quality teams to complete jobs within the required timeline.

Preferred candidate profile

- ITI / Diploma in Machinist, Fitter, or Mechanical Trade.

- 1-20 years of experience operating conventional Lathe and Milling machines.





- Good knowledge of machining operations, cutting tools, and tool selection.

- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and dimensions.

- Knowledge of Vernier caliper, micrometer, and other measuring instruments.

- Ability to perform accurate machining as per required tolerances.

- Basic knowledge of machine setup, tool setting, and workpiece alignment.

- Good understanding of workplace safety and quality standards.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.

- Willingness to work according to production schedules and deadlines.
