Role Description The Video Editor at The Pephouse is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Kolkata Area. The role involves editing raw footage into polished videos, assembling sequences, syncing audio, and adding transitions and effects to meet project requirements and brand guidelines.

The Video

Editor will collaborate closely with producers, directors, and designers to interpret briefs, refine storylines, and ensure visual consistency across all content. Daily responsibilities include color grading, basic motion graphics integration, and preparing final deliverables in appropriate formats for various platforms.



The role also includes organizing and managing media assets, maintaining project files, and contributing creative ideas to improve content quality and audience engagement.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Video Production and Video Editing, with experience handling end-to-end post-production workflows.
- Proficiency in Video Color Grading to ensure visual consistency and enhance overall image quality.
- Ability to create and integrate Motion Graphics and Graphics to support storytelling and branding.
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard editing and post-production software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar).
- Solid understanding of aspect ratios, codecs, formats, and delivery requirements for digital and social media platforms.
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional creative teams.
- Relevant education or training in film, media, design, or a related field is beneficial; a portfolio or showreel demonstrating video editing work is required.
