Key Responsibilities

- Edit live event footage using the original audio recorded during the event.
- Identify important moments, reactions, expressions, speeches, performances, and interactions from live footage.
- Create visually engaging videos while preserving the natural atmosphere and authenticity of the event.
- Sync and maintain original camera audio, live sound, speeches, performances, and ambient sound.
- Build the edit around the actual flow of the event rather than relying heavily on background music.
- Create aesthetically pleasing sequences through shot selection, pacing, framing, timing, and visual continuity.
- Enhance footage through subtle colour correction and cinematic grading.
- Use appropriate slow motion, speed changes, transitions, and visual effects without overdoing them.
- Edit multi-camera event footage and maintain continuity between different camera angles.
- Quickly identify the best shots and moments from large volumes of footage.
- Create short event highlights, live-performance edits, speeches, school events, wedding moments, and social-media-ready content.
- Maintain the emotional impact of the original moment while improving its visual presentation.
- Work closely with photographers, videographers, directors, and the post-production team.
- Complete projects within agreed turnaround times.

- Create rhythm without making the edit feel artificial.
- Understand visual composition and aesthetically pleasing shot combinations.
- Create emotional impact through timing and shot selection, not just effects.
- Know when less is more.
- Turn ordinary event footage into a polished visual story.

Required Skills
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Strong understanding of live/event video editing.
- Excellent understanding of audio synchronization and sound editing.
- Knowledge of multi-camera editing.
- Good understanding of colour correction and cinematic grading.
- Strong sense of visual composition and aesthetics.
- Ability to work with 4K footage and large project files.
- Good understanding of frame rates, codecs, resolutions, and export formats.




- Ability to work under tight deadlines.

The Right Candidate

We are not simply looking for someone who knows editing software.

We are looking for someone who understands people, moments, sound, timing, and visuals.

You should be able to take raw footage from a real event and ask:

“How can I make this moment feel better without losing what actually happened?”

That ability is more important to us than using excessive transitions, effects, or flashy editing techniques.

Qualification A degree or diploma in Film, Visual Communication, Mass Communication, Media, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Practical editing ability and portfolio will be given greater importance than academic qualifications.

Portfolio Requirement

Candidates must submit a showreel or portfolio.

Preference will be given to portfolios demonstrating:

- Live event editing
