Advex Media is looking for a creative and skilled Video Editor to create engaging Reels, advertisements, branded content and promotional videos for our clients.
You will work closely with our creative, social media and marketing teams to turn ideas and briefs into engaging, high-quality video content for digital platforms.
This is a hands-on creative role where editing quality, storytelling, pacing and attention to detail are more important than simply knowing multiple software tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and social media videos.
- Create video advertisements for Meta, YouTube and other digital platforms.
- Edit promotional, branded and corporate videos.
- Create engaging edits with strong hooks, pacing and storytelling.
- Add transitions, captions, sound effects, music and basic motion graphics.
- Adapt videos into different formats for various social media platforms.
- Collaborate with designers, content creators, social media managers and the production team.
- Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Stay updated with current video-editing and social media trends.
- Understand creative briefs and execute videos according to brand requirements
Required Skills
- 1+ year of professional video-editing experience.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or CapCut.
- Good understanding of Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and short-form content.
- Strong sense of pacing, storytelling and visual composition.
- Positive understanding of music, sound effects and audio editing.
- Basic knowledge of motion graphics.
- Ability to understand creative briefs and work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and creative thinking.
- Portfolio / Showreel is mandatory.
Preferred Skills These are an advantage but not mandatory:
- Adobe After Effects
- DaVinci Resolve
- Advanced motion graphics
- Blender / 3D
- Experience working with advertising agencies or brands
- Experience creating performance marketing / ad creatives
