Role Overview

We are seeking an efficient, highly creative Lead Video Editor to power our daily educational content pipeline. In this high-volume role, you will be responsible for editing 1 long-form educational video and 3–4 short-form vertical videos (Reels/Shorts) per day.

You will take raw footage, voiceovers, and scripts and turn them into clear, visually engaging, and high-retention educational videos. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, master streamlined editing workflows, and know how to explain complex ideas visually, this is the ideal role for you.

- Edit 1 full-length video daily with a focus on visual clarity, narrative pacing, and student/viewer retention.
- Integrate supporting visual assets: motion graphics, text callouts, technical diagrams, screen recordings, and targeted stock B-roll.
- Perform audio cleanup (noise reduction, EQ, compression) and balanced background music mixing.
- Apply color grading to keep videos clean, modern, and aligned with channel branding.





1. Daily Short-Form Production (Reels / Shorts / TikToks)

- Edit 3 to 4 vertical (9:16) videos daily, sourcing clips directly from the daily long-form video or standalone short scripts.
- Hook viewers within the first 3 seconds using dynamic text animations, zoom cuts, pop-up graphics, and targeted sound effects (SFX).
- Generate and style fast-paced, eye-catching animated subtitles/captions tailored for mobile viewing.

1. Workflow & Asset Optimization

- Build and maintain a reusable template library (graphics, motion presets, audio SFX, lower-thirds) to maintain a daily turnaround.
- Organize raw assets, project files, and finished exports within cloud storage (Google Drive / Frame.io / Dropbox).
- Maintain strict quality control while consistently hitting daily publishing deadlines.

Technical Skill Requirements
- Editing Software: Expert level in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Motion Graphics: Proficiency in kinetic typography, lower-thirds, animated infographics, and graphical pop-ups to explain complex topics clearly.
- Audio Engineering: Competency in dialog editing, vocal balancing, and strategic sound effect placement.




- Short-Form Pacing: Deep understanding of mobile retention strategies, hook structures, and visual pacing.
- AI Tool Integration: Experience utilizing AI productivity tools (automated transcription, auto-captions, AI audio enhancement) to speed up editing workflows.

- High-Volume Capability: Proven ability to edit and deliver high-quality video content consistently under tight daily deadlines.
- Portfolio Required: A solid portfolio showcasing both long-form educational/explainer videos and high-retention short-form edits.
- Educational Focus: Passion for learning content—ability to parse dense topics and make them simple and visual for an audience.
- Self-Motivated & Organized: Exceptional time-management skills to prioritize long-form vs. short-form tasks daily.
