Video Editor – Better Insights

About the Role

Better Insights is a marketing & branding agency working with education and healthcare clients on Meta and Google Ads campaigns. We're looking for a Video Editor who doesn't just cut footage — someone who understands hooks, pacing, and the emotional beats that make a viewer stop scrolling and stay till the end. You'll also step out for shoots when needed, so you understand the story on set, not just in the timeline.

What You'll Do

- Edit short-form and long-form videos for Meta Ads, Google Ads, YouTube, and social content
- Craft robust hooks (first 3 seconds) and structure edits around emotional pacing, not just visuals
- Travel for on-site shoots (campus visits, hospital/clinic shoots, event coverage) — camera operation and basic shoot coordination
- Collaborate with the ads/performance team to understand campaign goals and tailor edits to conversion, not just aesthetics
- Add motion graphics, subtitles, sound design, and color grading as needed
- Use AI tools to speed up workflows — auto-captioning, AI-assisted rough cuts, voice cloning/AI voiceovers,



background/BG removal, script-to-video tools, etc.
- Manage multiple projects/clients with quick turnaround times
- Stay on top of trending formats, reels, and platform-specific best practices

What We're Looking For

- 1–3+ years of video editing experience (agency, in-house brand, or freelance)
- Strong command of Premiere Pro / DaVinci Resolve / CapCut (After Effects is a plus)
- Hands-on experience with AI video/editing tools (e.g., Runway, CapCut AI, ElevenLabs, HeyGen, Descript, Adobe AI features) to cut editing time without cutting quality
- A sharp eye for pacing, emotion, and storytelling — you know why a cut works, not just how to make it
- Comfortable operating a camera/gimbal and being part of a shoot, not just post-production
- Portfolio/reel showing performance-driven or brand video work (ads, reels, campaigns)
- Bonus: experience editing for education or healthcare brands
