Role Description The Video Editor role at Aspire Media is a remote, contract position focused on turning raw footage and assets into engaging, polished video content for digital platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include editing brand films and short-form videos, assembling clips, adding transitions, sound and music, and optimizing pacing and storytelling to align with each brand’s voice and strategy.

The Video

Editor will collaborate closely with content strategists and designers, interpret briefs, and maintain consistency with visual and narrative guidelines across projects. The role also involves basic color correction or grading, incorporating motion graphics or simple graphics where needed,



and preparing exports and formats suitable for social media, websites, and presentations. Attention to detail, clear communication, and reliable adherence to timelines and feedback cycles are essential.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Video Production and Video Editing to handle end-to-end post-production workflows and deliver professional, platform-ready content.
- Candidates should possess skills in Video Color Grading to ensure visual consistency, enhance mood, and maintain brand-appropriate aesthetics across projects.
- Candidates should possess skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics to create or integrate titles, lower thirds, simple animations, and visual elements that support the story.
- Proficiency in industry-standard editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and basic audio editing for dialogue, music, and sound effects.
- Strong sense of visual storytelling, timing, and narrative flow, with the ability to interpret creative briefs and give thoughtful input on structure and pacing.
- Experience creating content for social media platforms (e.g., Instagram Reels, YouTube, LinkedIn), including aspect ratios, durations, and export settings.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup, manage multiple projects, and respond constructively to feedback and revisions.
- Relevant experience as a Video Editor in agency, production, or freelance environments; a portfolio or showreel demonstrating past work
