RAT Films is looking for passionate, driven, and creatively curious Video Editing Interns to join our post-production team. If you are obsessed with visual storytelling, pacing, sound design, and want to establish a real foothold in the film and media industry, this is your launchpad.

You won’t just be organizing project files but you will get hands-on experience working directly on commercial, narrative, and digital video workflows from assembly to final polish.

Key Responsibilities

- Footage Assembly & Rough Cuts: Ingest, organize, sync, and create rough assemblies for commercial shoots, narrative projects, and digital assets.
- Fine Cutting & Pacing: Work closely with senior editors and directors to refine cuts, match pacing to audio cues, and maintain narrative tension.
- Motion Graphics & Cleanups: Create basic titles, lower-thirds, transitions, and screen cleanups using After Effects.
- Delivery & Export Management: Ensure exports match delivery specifications for social, web, broadcast, and festival submissions across various aspect ratios (16:9, 9:16, 4:5).

What We’re Looking For
- Software Proficiency:



Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve (node-based grading and cut/edit pages).
- Story & Rhythm Sense: A strong eye for visual rhythm, continuity, pacing, and how sound elevates a scene.
- Industry Ambition: A genuine desire to learn the ins and outs of commercial and narrative post-production pipelines.
- Technical Discipline: Understanding of video codecs, proxy workflows, frame rates, and organized bin structures.
- Attitude: High coachability, attention to detail, and the ability to take creative feedback constructively.
