Position Overview The Vice Principal (Skills and Growth) will serve as the second-in-command to the Principal, responsible for ensuring smooth academic and administrative functioning of the school. This is a leadership role that demands visionary thinking, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to implement innovative practices in line with the school’s mission of nurturing future-ready learners.
Key Responsibilities
Scholar Skills & Holistic Development
- Lead the development of a structured Skills & Growth framework across classes, focusing on communication, confidence, creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, leadership and life skills.
- Identify the skills required at different age groups and ensure their systematic development through classroom and experiential programmes.
- Design and monitor initiatives that provide scholars with regular opportunities for public speaking, presentations, stage exposure, writing, entrepreneurship, innovation, leadership and teamwork.
- Track individual scholar participation, progress and areas requiring further development.
- Ensure that every scholar gets meaningful opportunities to participate, perform, create and showcase his/her abilities.
Parent & Prospective Parent Engagement
- Take a lead role in building strong and meaningful relationships with existing parents and prospective parents.
- Personally engage with prospective parents during school visits, counselling sessions, campus interactions and admission-related activities.
- Understand parent expectations and communicate the school's philosophy, strengths, academic approach, skills programmes and unique offerings effectively.
- Conduct regular parent interactions, workshops and orientation sessions focused on scholar development, parenting and future-ready skills.
- Build confidence and trust among parents through regular communication,
responsiveness and visible involvement.
- Maintain systematic follow-up with prospective parents in coordination with the Admissions Team to support enquiry-to-admission conversion.
Student & Parent Connect
- Develop a strong student-parent-school connect, particularly around scholar growth beyond academics.
- Identify concerns raised by parents and scholars and coordinate with the relevant teams for timely resolution.
- Regularly interact with scholars to understand their interests, aspirations, challenges and areas of growth.
- Ensure parents receive meaningful updates on their child's skills, participation, achievements and overall development.
Exposure & Experiential Learning
- Plan and drive opportunities for scholars to gain exposure beyond the classroom through competitions, workshops, educational visits, MUNs, public speaking, stage performances, entrepreneurship, community initiatives and external platforms.
- Build partnerships and identify external platforms where scholars can participate and showcase their talent.
- Ensure that activities are not merely event-based but have transparent learning and skill-development outcomes.
Communication & Personality Development
- Lead programmes for English communication, public speaking, presentation skills, vocabulary, articulation, confidence and personality development.
- Identify scholars who require additional support in communication and confidence and ensure targeted interventions.
- Encourage a culture where scholars are comfortable speaking, presenting, questioning and expressing their ideas.
- Monitor the effectiveness of communication and personality-development programmes through regular assessments and presentations.
Faculty & Programme Coordination
- Work closely with faculty and coordinators to ensure that skill development becomes part of everyday schooling, rather than remaining limited to special events.
- Guide teachers on integrating communication, creativity, collaboration and critical thinking into regular classroom activities.
- Monitor implementation of skill-based programmes and review outcomes regularly.
- Conduct faculty presentations/reviews of skill initiatives, student participation and outcomes.
Institutional Growth & School Experience
- Work closely with Management and the Principal to strengthen the overall parent and scholar experience at YS.
- Contribute to initiatives that strengthen the school's reputation, visibility and distinctive positioning.
- Support the Admissions and Marketing teams by highlighting and showcasing scholar achievements, skills, experiences and success stories.
- Help create a school environment where parents can visibly experience the difference in their child's confidence, communication, skills and personality.

Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s Degree in Education or a related field; B.Ed. preferred/mandatory as per school requirements.
- 8–10 years of experience in education, with 3–5 years in a leadership/coordination role.
- Strong experience in student development, parent engagement, communication programmes and school initiatives.
- Excellent understanding of school operations and the ability to work closely with academic, admissions and activity teams.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
