Role Description The Vice President Finance is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Pune City, responsible for overseeing all financial operations for GlobalStep’s regional and global activities. This role leads financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial strategy in alignment with business objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations, and overseeing internal controls and risk management.

Finance partners with executive leadership to provide data-driven insights, supports decision-making on investments and cost optimization, and collaborates with cross-functional teams on revenue, margin, and cash-flow initiatives. The role also involves managing finance teams, developing processes to improve efficiency,



and implementing systems and tools that strengthen financial governance and business performance.

Characteristics of the Individual

· Qualification & Experience: CA with 18+ years of overall Finance experience, including 7+ years in a senior Finance leadership role. Proven experience managing Finance for multi-entity, multinational organizations, preferably across the US, Canada, UK, Europe and India. IT/ITeS and Manufacturing sector experience preferred.

· Hands-on Finance Leader: A leader who is comfortable being deeply involved in execution, reviewing critical numbers, resolving issues, challenging assumptions and driving closure rather than operating only through delegation.

· Solid Global Finance Leadership: Experience in managing the complete Finance function across multiple geographies, legal entities, currencies and regulatory environments.

· Analytical Bent of Mind: Strong ability to analyse financial and operational data, identify trends and variances, connect financial results to business drivers, and convert insights into actionable business decisions.

· Exceptional Eye for Detail: High level of rigor and accuracy when reviewing financial statements, forecasts, cash flows, contracts, commercial terms, controls and financial transactions.

· Strategic Business Partner:



Ability to act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and senior leadership on profitability, cash flow, working capital, cost optimization, CapEx and strategic business decisions.

· Team Mentor & People Leader: Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and develop a 15+ member Finance team, build strong capabilities, establish accountability and create a high-performance culture.

· Strong Governance & Controls Orientation: Deep understanding of internal controls, compliance, risk management, transfer pricing and financial governance, with the ability to establish robust and scalable processes.

· Excellent Communication & Stakeholder Management: Strong communicator who can present financial results with clarity and influence stakeholders across functions and geographies, while effectively managing bankers, auditors, tax advisors and legal counsel.

· Technology & Process Orientation: Highly proficient in MS Excel and financial analysis, with experience using ERP/accounting platforms; SAGE knowledge is an advantage. Should actively identify opportunities to use technology, automation and systems to improve Finance efficiency.

Office Timing

- Generally, the working hours will be 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM IST. However, the working schedule will remain flexible and may need to shift depending on global time zones, team interactions, stakeholder meetings, and business requirements. Given the global scope of the role, the incumbent should be comfortable adapting working hours to align with the needs of teams and stakeholders across different geographies.
