Your Role

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Connectivity Management

- Fleet Connectivity: Oversee and maintain stable ship-to-shore LAN/WAN, routing, switching, and multi-provider satellite links (VSAT, Starlink, FBB).
- System Engineering: Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of fleet-wide infrastructure, including ESXi/Windows servers, switches, and firewalls.
- Lifecycle & Deployments: Lead IT hardware deployment, network integration, and software lifecycles during new vessel builds, handovers, and upgrades.
- Business Continuity: Architect, maintain, and validate robust backup and disaster recovery solutions across the fleet.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

- Fleet Security: Enforce robust endpoint protection, firewall rules, and patch management protocols across all vessels. Understanding of basic Cybersecurity and Software compliance and Governance.

Operational Excellence & Vendor Management

- Advanced Technical Support: Provide high-level remote and on-site troubleshooting for complex IT, network, and performance issues escalated by crew and captains. Travel to vessels as required for hands-on infrastructure maintenance and deployments.

Your Profile

This position is for an IT professional who would thrive in a global, collaborative environment and can bring technical skills to the team.

To do well in this role, you bring

- At least eight years of experience in IT infrastructure, network operations, or systems administration, preferably within the shipping or maritime industry.




- Ability to explain vessel IT infrastructure, network, and system issues clearly to both technical colleagues and onboard crew.
- Experience managing assigned vessel IT issues on your own and ensuring timely follow-up through resolution.
- Experience working cross-functionally with vessel crew, internal departments, and external vendors to resolve IT issues and support operations.
- Ability to learn and apply new technologies, systems, and maritime IT tools in a fast-changing operational workplace.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving network, server, and connectivity issues remotely.
- Experience identifying opportunities to improve IT processes, system reliability, or support workflows within your area of responsibility.
- Leadership Potential: Guides others positively, even without formal authority.
- Understanding of how reliable vessel IT infrastructure supports safe operations, business continuity, and cost-efficient fleet performance.
