We are seeking an experienced NetBackup Administrator with 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in enterprise backup and recovery environments. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in Veritas/Cohesity NetBackup administration, backup architecture, Dell EMC Data Domain integration, disaster recovery, and L2/L3 troubleshooting across large-scale infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Administration &
- Maintenance:

Administer, configure, and maintain Veritas/Cohesity NetBackup environments, including NetBackup Appliances and Flex Appliances.

- Storage &

- Policy Management:

Manage backup policies, schedules, retention rules, deduplication, replication, and storage lifecycle management.

- Data Protection: Perform backup and recovery operations across databases, virtual machines (VMware), file systems, and enterprise applications.

- Storage Integration: Integrate and administer Dell EMC Data Domain storage targets using DD Boost.

- Operations &

- Troubleshooting:

Monitor backup jobs, troubleshoot failures, conduct root cause analysis, and ensure strict SLA compliance.

- Maintenance &

- Upgrades:

Support NetBackup upgrades, patching, migrations, and platform enhancements.

- Disaster Recovery (DR): Plan, execute, and validate DR drills, recovery testing, and business continuity activities.

- Process &





- Collaboration:

Participate in Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes; document SOPs and operational reports.

- Support: Provide L2/L3 technical support and participate in on-call rotations.

Mandatory Skills

- 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Veritas NetBackup administration.

- Deep understanding of backup architecture, deduplication, replication, and recovery strategies.

- Experience managing Dell EMC Data Domain and DD Boost integration.

- Hands-on expertise with NetBackup Appliances and Flex Appliances.

- Robust knowledge of underlying platforms: VMware, Windows, and Linux.

- Functional understanding of Disaster Recovery (DR) and Cyber Recovery concepts.

- Scripting capabilities in PowerShell, Python, or Shell for basic automation.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Veritas OpsCenter or IT Analytics reporting tools.

- Familiarity with additional enterprise backup solutions (e.g., Cohesity, Commvault).

- Exposure to SAN, NAS, and Cloud Storage integration.

- Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and IT automation.

- ITIL Foundation or relevant vendor backup certifications.

- Experience supporting Banking / Enterprise-scale IT infrastructure.
