Designation: Vendor Development Engineer

Experience: 10+ Years

Job Purpose To develop, evaluate, qualify and continuously improve the vendor base to ensure availability of quality materials/components at competitive cost and within required delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify, evaluate and develop recent vendors as per company requirements.

- Assess vendor capabilities in terms of manufacturing capacity, quality systems, technology, infrastructure and delivery performance.

- Conduct vendor audits and capability assessments.

- Develop vendors for new products, components, fabricated parts and engineering requirements.

- Coordinate with vendors for new product development, sample development and first-off approvals.

- Monitor vendor quality, delivery, cost and overall performance.

- Analyze vendor rejection, defects, NCRs and customer complaints and ensure corrective actions.

- Work closely with Quality, Purchase, Production, Engineering and Design teams for vendor development activities.

- Provide technical support to vendors for process improvement,



manufacturing methods and quality enhancement.

- Ensure timely completion of PPAP/APQP and other required vendor approval documentation, wherever applicable.

- Develop alternate and backup vendors to minimize supply-chain risks.

- Negotiate and support cost reduction, process improvement and value engineering initiatives.

- Monitor vendor capacity planning and ensure readiness for increased production requirements.

- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and prepare vendor rating reports.

- Drive continuous improvement in vendor quality, productivity, cost and delivery performance.

- Resolve critical vendor-related issues and escalate major risks to management.

- Maintain complete records of vendor evaluations, audits, development activities and performance.

- Develop long-term strategic relationships with key suppliers.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
