About the Role

We are looking for a Validation & Test Engineer with experience in Power Electronics, Automotive Electronics, EVSE, or related electrical systems. The role will be responsible for validating product performance, functionality, safety, reliability, and compliance through structured testing at component, subsystem, and system levels. You will work closely with Hardware, Firmware, Product, and Manufacturing teams to identify issues, perform root-cause analysis, validate design changes, and ensure products meet defined specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute validation and verification plans for power electronic and EVSE products.
- Define test cases, test procedures, test setups, and acceptance criteria based on product requirements.
- Perform functional, performance, stress, endurance, reliability, and environmental testing.
- Validate electrical and power characteristics including:

- Voltage and current

- Power and efficiency

- Power factor

- THD

- Temperature rise

- Protection mechanisms

- Charging performance
- Test and validate AC/DC power electronics, EV chargers, power supplies, converters, and related systems.
- Perform hardware-software/firmware integration testing.
- Conduct testing under different load, input voltage, temperature, and operating conditions.
- Validate protection functions such as over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current, short circuit, over-temperature,



leakage/current protection, etc.
- Perform thermal and electrical stress testing and identify failure conditions.
- Conduct HALT/HASS, endurance, cycle, and reliability testing where applicable.
- Perform regression testing after hardware, firmware, or component changes.
- Analyse test results, identify deviations, and perform root-cause analysis.
- Debug failures using laboratory equipment and electrical measurements.
- Work with hardware engineers to reproduce and resolve design issues.
- Maintain detailed test reports, validation reports, failure analysis reports, and documentation.
- Support product certification and compliance testing as required.
- Coordinate with external labs/vendors for specialised testing and certification.
- Support field validation and troubleshooting of products deployed at customer/charging sites.

Hands-on Testing & Equipment Experience working with laboratory and electrical test equipment such as:

- Oscilloscope
- Multimeter
- Power analyser
- Electronic load
- AC/DC power source
- Function/signal generator
- Current/voltage probes
- Temperature measurement equipment
- Insulation/Hi-Pot tester
- LCR meter

Required Skills & Experience

- 2- 3 years of experience in Product Validation, Verification & Testing, Power Electronics, Automotive Electronics, EVSE, or electrical systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical and power electronics fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience in setting up and executing hardware/electrical validation tests.
- Experience with AC/DC systems, converters,



inverters, power supplies, chargers, or EVSE.
- Ability to interpret schematics, datasheets, electrical specifications, and test requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience with laboratory test equipment and electrical measurement techniques.
- Understanding of failure modes, reliability testing, and design validation.
- Good documentation and reporting skills
- Ability to work closely with hardware, firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and product teams.

Good to Have

- Experience with EVSE / EV chargers / automotive power electronics.
- Knowledge of IEC, ISO, AIS, UL or other relevant electrical/automotive standards.
- Experience with EMI/EMC testing and pre-compliance testing.
- Exposure to CAN, Modbus, RS485, Ethernet, or other communication protocols.
- Knowledge of OCPP and EV charging architecture.
- Experience with thermal, environmental, vibration, ingress protection, and reliability testing.
- Basic scripting/automation skills using Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or similar tools.
- Experience working with test automation and data acquisition systems.
