Role Overview

- We are looking for a Software Validation Engineer with experience in substation automation, IEC 61850, and software testing. The candidate will be responsible for functional/integration testing, protocol validation, configuration validation, defect analysis, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform functional, integration, and regression testing of substation automation software.

- Validate IEC 61850 protocols, including GOOSE, MMS, Reporting, and Sampled Values (SV).

- Work with IEC 61850 SCL files such as ICD, CID, and SCD.

- Validate IED configurations, device settings, and communication workflows.

- Perform log and network/protocol analysis and troubleshoot communication issues.

- Report, track,



and analyze defects in collaboration with development teams.

- Prepare and execute test cases and validation reports.

Required Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Power Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field.

- 3+ years of experience in software testing/validation, protection & automation, embedded systems, or related areas.

- Good understanding of Substation Automation, SCADA, electrical protection, and IEDs.

- Strong understanding of IEC 61850 and SCL engineering.

- Positive analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
