Role & responsibilities

Perform MIG (GMAW) welding on MS, carbon steel, and fabricated components as per engineering drawings and WPS.

- Set up and operate MIG welding machines by selecting appropriate voltage, current, wire feed, and shielding gas parameters.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, process sheets, and welding procedure specifications (WPS).
- Produce high-quality welds while meeting dimensional and quality requirements.
- Inspect welded joints visually and rectify defects such as porosity, undercut, overlap, and incomplete fusion.
- Carry out grinding, cleaning, and finishing of welded components before inspection.
- Handle welding consumables, fixtures, and jigs safely and efficiently.



• Support fabrication activities and coordinate with quality and production teams.
- Maintain welding equipment and perform routine preventive checks. • Follow 5S, PPE, safety standards, and company quality procedures. Recent Kobelco hiring also emphasizes exposure to MIG, TIG, SAW, and basic robotic welding in its fabrication operations.

Preferred candidate profile

Positive hands-on experience in MIG welding.

- Ability to read fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
- Knowledge of welding parameters and weld defect identification.
