We are looking for a detail-oriented Underwriting / Risk Assessment qualified responsible for evaluating loan applications, assessing creditworthiness, identifying potential risks, and ensuring lending decisions are made in accordance with the company's credit policies and risk guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and assess loan applications and customer profiles.
- Analyze income documents, bank statements, financial statements, bureau/CIBIL reports and other supporting documents.
- Evaluate customer creditworthiness, repayment capacity and overall risk profile.
- Conduct credit underwriting and risk assessment as per company policies.
- Check FOIR/DTI, LTV, eligibility and other applicable credit parameters.
- Identify credit, fraud, documentation and repayment risks.
- Verify customer information and investigate discrepancies or unusual transactions.
- Make approval, rejection or recommendation decisions within assigned authority.
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, SOPs and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Credit, Collections and Verification teams.
- Maintain accurate records of underwriting decisions and supporting documents.
- Monitor early warning indicators and highlight high-risk cases.
- Escalate exceptions and high-risk applications to the appropriate authority.
- Maintain turnaround time (TAT) and quality standards for case processing.
- Support portfolio/risk analysis and periodic reporting as required.
