Role & responsibilities

- Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using OpenText UFT One (HP UFT/QTP) and VBScript.

- Build and enhance reusable automation frameworks, libraries, functions, Object Repositories, and Descriptive Programming solutions using data-driven, keyword-driven, and hybrid approaches.

- Analyze business requirements and manual test cases to identify automation feasibility, coverage, and opportunities for process improvement.

- Execute automation suites, analyze results, troubleshoot failures, debug script defects, and ensure reliable test execution.

- Implement UFT capabilities including Object Repository, Recovery Scenarios, Checkpoints, Synchronization techniques, and data-driven testing.

- Integrate automated test suites with Jenkins/CI/CD pipelines and ALM/QC for continuous execution, test management, and reporting.





- Automate testing of Oracle EBS, web, and enterprise applications, including database validation using SQL and, where applicable, API/Web Services testing.

- Collaborate with functional and business teams to understand end-to-end processes, requirements, and testing scenarios.

- Perform code/script reviews and ensure automation solutions follow established coding standards, best practices, maintainability, and reusability guidelines.

- Prepare and maintain test execution reports, evidence, automation metrics, and defect-related documentation.

- Contribute to automation framework enhancements, continuous improvement initiatives, and overall test automation strategy.
