Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and creative UAV Design Engineer with robust expertise in CAD modeling, mechanical product design, and drone development. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and validating UAV components and assemblies, ensuring designs are reliable, manufacturable, and production-ready.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop UAV structures, mechanical components, frames, and assemblies.
- Create 3D models, detailed 2D drawings, and engineering documentation using CAD tools.
- Perform design optimization to improve weight, strength, performance, and manufacturability.
- Apply DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles.
- Conduct tolerance analysis, GD&T;, and material selection for UAV components.
- Collaborate with electronics, embedded systems, manufacturing, and procurement teams.
- Develop prototypes and support testing, validation, and design improvements.
- Identify design issues and implement effective engineering solutions.
- Ensure designs meet quality, safety, and manufacturing requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or Fusion 360.




- Strong understanding of mechanical product design and engineering principles.
- Knowledge of GD&T;, tolerance analysis, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with DFM/DFA, material selection, and prototyping.
- Understanding of UAV/drone structures, assemblies, and mechanical integration.
- Ability to prepare technical drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
- Strong problem-solving, creativity, teamwork, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, or a relevant discipline.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in UAV/drone design and development.
- Knowledge of lightweight structures, composite materials, and 3D printing.
- Experience with prototype fabrication, assembly, and product testing.
- Familiarity with design validation and engineering change management.
