Job Title: Transport ManagerJob Overview

We are seeking an organized, safety-conscious, and results-driven Transport Manager to oversee our vehicle fleet, logistics operations, and transport personnel. In this role, you will ensure that all goods and passengers are transported safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in supply chain operations, meticulous attention to detail, and comprehensive knowledge of transport regulations. Your primary goal will be to maximize fleet utilization, manage transport budgets, and maintain absolute compliance with legal and safety standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesFleet & Operations Management

- Plan & Coordinate: Design efficient transport schedules, routes, and delivery windows for drivers and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs of the vehicle fleet to guarantee optimal roadworthiness and prevent downtime.
- Resource Optimization: Maximize vehicle capacity and minimize empty running miles through strategic load planning and modern Transport Management Systems (TMS).

Compliance & Safety
- Regulatory Adherence: Ensure strict compliance with local/national transport laws, labor regulations, and operator licensing obligations (such as DOT/OSHA guidelines where applicable).
- Health & Safety: Enforce workplace safety policies, conduct safety briefings, oversee accident investigations, and maintain rigorous safety records.

Team Leadership & Administration
- Supervision: Lead, mentor, and evaluate drivers, dispatchers, and administrative personnel. Handle scheduling, training, performance reviews, and disciplinary procedures.




- Budget Management: Develop and manage the departmental budget, monitor expenditures, analyze transport costs, and negotiate contracts with external vendors or suppliers.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate operational records, logs, and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports regarding delivery times, fuel consumption, and service quality.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience: Proven experience (typically 3 to 5 years) working as a Transport Manager, Logistics Coordinator, or in a similar fleet-management role.
- Certifications: Possession of a valid Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) or local commercial driving/transport compliance credentials is a strong advantage.

- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of transport methods, fleet management software, routing tools, and vehicle mechanics.
- Regulatory Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of safety laws, driving hours regulations, and weight restrictions.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze logistical data, resolve complex supply chain bottlenecks, and control budgets.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-departmental coordination, client relations, and conflict resolution.
- Flexibility: Ability to handle high-pressure situations, emergency routing changes, and a flexible work schedule.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
