Location: Pondicherry

Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month

Working Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Age: 30–40 years

Experience: Minimum 5 years

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Transport In-Charge to manage and coordinate the organization's transportation operations. The candidate should have strong knowledge of Pondicherry routes, excellent coordination skills, and prior experience handling transportation operations in school or college environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and coordinate daily transportation operations, including buses and drivers.
- Plan and monitor routes, timings, and vehicle schedules.
- Ensure timely pickup and drop-off of students/staff.
- Maintain and monitor bus schedules, route plans, and transportation records.
- Coordinate with drivers, conductors, staff, students, and management.
- Monitor vehicle availability, maintenance schedules, and fitness-related requirements.
- Handle transportation-related complaints and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Ensure proper implementation of transportation safety procedures.
- Monitor driver attendance, duty schedules, and route assignments.
- Maintain records of fuel usage, vehicle maintenance, permits, insurance,



and other relevant documents.
- Coordinate during emergencies, breakdowns, route changes, and other transportation issues.
- Prepare regular transportation reports for management.
- Ensure smooth and efficient transportation operations on a daily basis.

Eligibility & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in transportation management.
- Previous experience in a school or college educational setting is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of Pondicherry routes and surrounding areas.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple drivers and vehicles effectively.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle transport-related emergencies.
- Age between 30 and 40 years.

Preferred Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be familiar with major Pondicherry city routes, educational institution routes, residential areas, and nearby locations, and should have practical experience managing student transportation operations. Pay: From ₹20,000.00 per month
