Job Title: Transformer Tank - Production Supervisor

Department: Production & Fabrication | Reports To: Production Manager

Role Summary:

Fabricate, assemble, and weld high-quality, leak-proof transformer tanks, conservator tanks, and accessories from engineering blueprints.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assembly & Welding: Read 2D engineering drawings to cut, fit, and weld (MIG/MAG/TIG) steel plates, stiffeners, and accessories (conservators, cable boxes, flanges).
- Machine & Crane Operation: Operate plate bending rollers, shearing machines, press brakes, gas/plasma cutters, and overhead EOT cranes for heavy material handling.
- Quality & Testing: Perform fit-ups and weld checks to ensure leak-proof seals for oil/vacuum pressure testing; assist with dye penetrant testing (DPT).




- Safety & Maintenance: Clean, grind, and prepare welds for painting/shot blasting while maintaining shop-floor safety (PPE) and 5S standards.

Requirements:

- Education: ITI (Welder/Fitter/Sheet Metal) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 2–6 years in structural or transformer tank fabrication.
- Skills: Blueprint reading, MIG welding, metal cutting/bending, leak testing, and EOT crane operation.
