We are looking for an Engineering Trainee – Production to support our furniture manufacturing operations. The candidate will receive practical exposure to production processes, quality standards, manpower coordination, production planning, and shop-floor operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring daily furniture production activities and production targets.
- Support production planning and ensure timely completion of production schedules.
- Monitor shop-floor operations and coordinate with production team members.
- Assist in maintaining production records, reports, and documentation.
- Monitor material availability and coordinate with stores and other departments.
- Assist in identifying production issues, delays, and process improvements.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and production specifications.
- Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Stores, Quality, and Maintenance teams as required.
- Assist in reducing material wastage and improving production efficiency.
- Prepare daily production reports and update the reporting manager.
- Learn and support the operation of furniture manufacturing machinery and processes.
Qualifications
- Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical, Production, interior, Furniture or related field.
- Freshers are encouraged to apply.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.
- Knowledge of MS Excel and basic computer applications.
- Valuable communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work in a factory / manufacturing environment.
Preferred Skills
- Basic understanding of furniture manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of production planning and workflow management.
- Ability to read technical drawings is an added advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a production team.
