Key Responsibilities

- Die Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on casting dies, molds, and related tooling.
- Troubleshooting: Resolve die-related casting defects on the shop floor (such as soldering, flash, cracking, and dimensional variations).
- Tool Room Operations: Oversee tool room activities, including conventional machining, surface grinding, EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining), and TIG welding for die repairs.
- Preventive Maintenance (PM): Implement and track PM schedules, checklists, and die history cards to extend tool life.
- Trial & Development: Support new tool trials, design modifications, and pilot production runs.
- Spare Parts Management: Monitor inventory for critical die components like cores, pins, and inserts

Preferred candidate profile

- Experience: 5+ years in press tool development.
- Expertise: Complete ownership of new tool development from concept to SOP.
- Tool Types: Progressive, compound, and forming dies.
- CAD: SolidWorks/Creo/NX/CATIA.
- Strengths: Tool debugging, tryout, timeline management, process improvement, and production support. Solid knowledge of sheet metal stamping processes
