- Supervise and manage tool, die, mould, and fixture maintenance activities.

- Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance of dies, moulds, tools, and fixtures.

- Inspect tools and moulds regularly to identify wear, damage, cracks, and other defects.

- Ensure timely repair and maintenance of tools to avoid production interruptions.

- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance departments to resolve tool-related issues.

- Maintain tool and mould history records, maintenance records, and service schedules.

- Ensure proper identification, tagging, storage, and handling of all tools, dies, moulds, and fixtures.

- Monitor tool performance and identify opportunities to improve tool life and productivity.

- Supervise tool room technicians and allocate daily maintenance and repair activities.

- Ensure proper use and maintenance of tool room machines, equipment, measuring instruments, and hand tools.

- Carry out or supervise activities such as grinding, polishing, fitting, welding, machining,



and minor tool modifications, as required.

- Check tool dimensions and condition using appropriate measuring instruments.

- Analyze repeated tool failures and implement root cause and corrective actions.

- Maintain adequate stock of tool maintenance spares, consumables, and materials.

- Ensure proper 5S, housekeeping, safety, and PPE compliance in the tool room.

- Coordinate with external tool makers/service providers for specialized repair and maintenance work.

- Support new tool, die, mould, and fixture trials, modifications, and improvements.

- Ensure tools are released to Production only after required inspection and maintenance.

- Monitor maintenance costs and minimize tool-related rejection, downtime, and wastage.

- Prepare and submit daily/monthly tool maintenance reports to management.
