Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and operationally focused Toll Plaza Manager to oversee the 24/7 operations, revenue collection, traffic management, and personnel at our toll plaza facility. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless electronic toll collection, minimizing lane congestion, enforcing strict traffic-handling audits, maintaining plaza infrastructure and toll equipment, and leading a multidisciplinary operations team.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Traffic Management

- Direct round-the-clock plaza operations to maintain lane throughput, minimize wait times, and comply with concessionaire/governmental Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Monitor electronic toll collection (ETC / RFID systems, automatic vehicle classification, and boom barriers) and coordinate immediate troubleshooting during system downtimes.
- Implement effective lane configuration strategies (reversible lanes, dedicated ETC lanes) during peak hours, holidays, and high-congestion periods.
- Manage traffic safety protocols, hazardous material transport monitoring, and lane clearance during breakdowns or road accidents.

Revenue Assurance & Financial Control

- Conduct regular revenue audits, analyzing discrepancies between vehicle classification sensors, lane cameras, and collector declarations.
- Prevent toll evasion, fraud, and leakage through real-time lane surveillance, periodic spot-checks, and incident log audits.
- Prepare daily, weekly,



and monthly traffic volume and revenue collection reports for executive management.

Team Leadership & Administration

- Manage shift supervisors, toll collectors, lane marshals, security staff, and maintenance technicians across all working shifts.
- Oversee shift scheduling, attendance, leave management, and overtime allocation to ensure mandatory booth staffing levels at all times.
- Conduct training programs covering customer service etiquette, conflict de-escalation, counterfeit currency detection, and emergency handling.
- Handle workplace grievances and drive adherence to operational standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Plaza Maintenance & Asset Upkeep

- Coordinate with IT/toll system vendors and technicians to ensure high uptime for weigh-in-motion (WIM) sensors, ANPR cameras, toll software, and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS/generators).
- Maintain overall plaza hygiene, lighting, physical safety barriers, administrative buildings, and booth ergonomics.

Liaison & Emergency Response

- Act as the primary liaison with local highway police, highway patrol units, emergency medical services, and transport authorities.
- Lead disaster management, lane protests/blockades, and emergency vehicle priority clearance procedures according to statutory guidelines.

Pay: From ₹20,000.00 per month
