- Summarize customer specifications for each enquiry in the design review sheet before submitting to costing
- Prepare annexure containing applicable specifications for the respective enquiry
- Perform thermal design with a "first time right" approach
- Obtain customer approval on thermal datasheets within max. 3-5 revisions
- Handle equipment thermal & mechanical design for engine heat exchangers along with shell & tube design
- Prepare BOM for engine and shell & tube heat exchangers
- Own full accountability for design & BOM accuracy of assigned equipment - Immediately flag any deviations/assumptions in enquiries (e.g., material availability, size deviations) to Sales, Marketing & Customer teams
- Ensure all specs & material requirements are addressed in Pre-order CFT meetings - Prepare and finalize: GA Drawings, Thermal Datasheets, Costing BOM, Customer Spec Review Sheet, Technical Datasheet for Costing, Mechanical Calculations - Sign & submit Specs Review Sheet as confirmation of review completion
- Cross-check Material Checklist & Thermal Checklist before submitting for review/approval - Ensure BOM (A-class, B-class items) is reviewed & approved by Head/Senior before submission to Estimation
- Submit DCN within 24 hours of any deviation identified (Pre-order to Post-order stage)
- Highlight major RM cost impact items in costing BOM (part, MOC, nozzle type, etc.) - Ensure department compliance with ISO, ASME, EHS & Safety documentation
- Experience Range: Based on the seniority implied (sign-off authority, HTRI expertise) suggest 610 years (adjust based on your actual requirement)
- Qualification: B.E./B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering (or Chemical, if HTRI-based process design is core)
