Job Responsibilities
- Teach Social Science to students of Classes VI–X.
- Prepare and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum.
- Teach concepts from History, Geography, Civics/Political Science and Economics.
- Conduct regular class tests, assessments and revision sessions.
- Prepare students for school examinations and board-oriented assessments.
- Maintain classroom discipline and encourage active participation.
- Track student performance and provide individual academic support.
- Prepare worksheets, assignments, question papers and study materials.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school activities.
- Maintain required academic records and documentation.
- Use appropriate digital teaching tools and technology to enhance learning.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s Degree with relevant Social Science subject combination.
- B.Ed.
or equivalent teaching qualification from a recognized institution.
- CTET/State TET may be required depending on the school and applicable recruitment rules.
- For many TGT-SST recruitments, the relevant combination includes any two of History, Geography, Economics and Political Science, with History or Geography as one of the subjects. Exact eligibility should be matched to the recruiting school's rules.
Preferred Skills
- Good communication and classroom-management skills.
- Strong command of Social Science concepts.
- Ability to teach in English and/or Hindi as required.
- Basic computer and digital teaching skills.
- Prior school teaching experience preferred.
