Role Description This is a full-time, in office Textile Designer role based in Coimbatore, with a primary focus on Adobe Illustrator.

The Textile

Designer will create original textile and apparel patterns suitable for school-wear, including repeat prints, placement graphics, and logo-based designs.

Responsibilities include translating design briefs into digital artwork, preparing print-ready files, and collaborating with the merchandising, production, and marketing teams to ensure designs are aligned with brand standards and manufacturing constraints. The role involves researching trends in fabrics, colors, and graphic styles, maintaining an organized digital asset library, and making revisions based on feedback from stakeholders.

The Textile

Designer will also support quality checks for samples,



assist in color-matching and artwork scaling, and participate in design reviews to continuously refine Prepster’s visual identity.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and other relevant design tools; ability to create vector-based textile and apparel graphics.
- Experience in textile or fashion design, particularly in pattern development, colorways, and print layouts for garments.
- Solid understanding of print production processes (screen printing, digital printing, embroidery) and how artwork translates to fabric.
- Ability to conduct visual and market research on trends in school-wear, youth fashion, colors, and graphics, and apply insights to designs.
- Attention to detail, including accurate sizing, alignment, and color consistency across multiple design variations.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills to work with design, merchandising, and production teams on-site.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple design projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Diploma or degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Portfolio demonstrating relevant textile, apparel, or pattern design work; experience with school-wear or uniform design is a plus.
