Role Purpose : -

- Test & Quality Senior Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our insurance platforms in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Responsibilities include designing, executing, and overseeing comprehensive test plans and test cases covering functional, non-functional, and regression testing.
- Leveraging extensive experience, the role collaborates closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.

Function Specific Responsibilities : -

- Adhere to the companys quality assurance processes and methodologies
- Design, implement, and manage comprehensive test plans, strategies, and cases that cover functional, regression, and non-functional testing to ensure product quality and performance.
- Identify opportunities to implement and expand automated testing, maintain existing frameworks and create new test scripts to increase testing efficiency and coverage.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify, communicate, and resolve potential quality issues early in the development cycle.
- Work closely with Test & Quality Lead to set and enforce high standards for QA practices within the team, including continuous improvement in testing processes, tools, and methodologies to optimise quality and efficiency.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for all test activities, including test plans, test cases, and test execution results, ensuring they are accessible, up-to-date, and usable by all stakeholders.
- Regularly report test progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders, providing clear and actionable insights to aid decision-making and product enhancements.
- Assess and prioritise testing activities based on risk and impact to ensure the most critical functionalities are thoroughly tested.
- Actively contribute to the agile development process by participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, ensuring testing activities align with sprint goals and timelines.

Communication : -

- Ensure all contact and interactions are of the highest standards, communicating clearly and appropriately to all stakeholders
- Collaborate and provide regular reporting and updates with key stakeholders across the Cover-More Group
- Ensure all communication is in line with the delivery of our Brand Promise to all stakeholders

Performance Metrics : -

- Accountable for own achievement of performance and behavioural targets in line with quarterly KPIs and business process and procedures.
- Contribute proactively to team achievement of performance targets in collaboration with Team Leader including service expectations, productivity, achievement of KPIs, behavioural expectations, and general operational performance and compliance.
- Identify development strategies necessary to achieve career goals and make use of development and training opportunities.

Skills, qualifications & experience : -

- 8-10 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with strong expertise in both manual and automation testing across web applications, APIs, and integrated systems.
- 8-10 years of hands-on automation experience, with proven expertise in Playwright and modern test automation practices.
- Strong experience in designing, building, implementing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks using Playwright, including framework architecture, reusable components, reporting, and CI/CD integration.
- Proven experience in UI and API test automation,



including comprehensive testing of RESTful APIs and web applications to ensure functionality, reliability, performance, and seamless integration.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and working knowledge of Python or C# for automation framework development, test scripting, and framework enhancements.
- Experience in test automation strategy, automation roadmap planning, and prioritization of automation initiatives to maximize test coverage and delivery efficiency.
- Robust understanding of CI/CD practices and integration of automated test suites into deployment pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
- Apply an AI first way of thinking to testing activities, using AI tools to: support test case design and refinement, assist with test data preparation and analysis, improve defect analysis and reporting.
- Use AI as an assistant, applying skilled judgement and validation before adoption. Continuously improve testing processes, standards, and tooling.
- Experience in evaluating, implementing, and maintaining test automation best practices, coding standards, framework governance, and quality metrics.
- Good understanding of performance, security, and non-functional testing principles, with exposure to relevant tools and methodologies.
- Strong experience with test management, defect management, and reporting tools to effectively track test execution, quality metrics, defects, and testing progress.
- Ability to work closely with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and QA team members to define test strategies and ensure high-quality releases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex issues, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to clearly communicate quality risks, test results, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-driven individual capable of working independently, mentoring team members on automation best practices, and providing technical guidance without direct people management responsibilities.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment
- ISTQB/ISEB certification preferred.
