Title: Software Test Engineer(Medical Devices)

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 4yrs to 6yrs

Job Purpose

This role will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications for medical device products by designing, implementing, and executing test plans, identifying and reporting defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.

Duties and Responsibilities

- 4-6 years of experience in manual testing, specifically within the medical device domain.
- Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), testing methodologies, and QA processes.
- Self-motivated and quality-focused, with the ability to analyze complex scenarios and design effective test cases aligned with quality objectives.
- Execute both manual and automated tests to validate the functionality, performance, and security of software applications.
- Proficient in core testing activities, including test planning and strategy,



test case design, execution, defect logging, and verification in Agile teams.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, and work with development teams to prioritize and resolve them.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage

Qualifications

- A bachelors degree in computer science, IT engineering is the minimum required qualification.
- Prior experience in the healthcare domain is mandatory.
- At least 4-6 years of overall experience in software quality assurance, including testing medical device products.
- Robust knowledge of test management, test planning and execution, along with testing methodologies and tools.
- Experience in testing surgical microscopes is an added advantage.
- Test automation experience across various client software platforms is desirable.
- Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, Microsoft certifications, or similar will be considered a plus.
- Familiarity with DICOM/PACS is an added advantage
