We are seeking an experienced and details-oriented Test Engineer with expertise in JavaScript and WebdriverIO to join our Quality Engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and execute automated test frameworks to ensure high-performance, robust, and scalable web applications. You will work closely with software developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to implement quality standards across the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities

- Automation Framework Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable test automation frameworks using JavaScript/TypeScript and WebdriverIO .
- Test Strategy & Execution: Create detailed, well-structured test plans, test cases, and test scripts for front-end web applications and UI workflows.
- API & Integration Testing: Conduct end-to-end (E2E) testing, component testing, and API verification using tools like Postman, Supertest, or WebdriverIO plugins.
- CI/CD Pipeline Integration: Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI) for continuous testing and fast feedback.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, track, and report software defects with clear reproduction steps and log analysis.
- Cross-Browser & Cross-Device Testing:



Perform cross-browser testing across modern desktop and mobile web platforms using cloud services like Sauce Labs, BrowserStack, or Selenium Grid.
- Collaboration & Quality Advocacy: Advocate for quality best practices within Agile/Scrum teams, participating in sprint planning, grooming, and code reviews.

Required Qualifications

- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in software quality engineering and automation testing.
- JavaScript/TypeScript: Strong proficiency in up-to-date JavaScript (ES6+) or TypeScript, including async/await, promises, and Object-Oriented Design principles.
- WebdriverIO Mastery: In-depth experience writing, maintaining, and debugging tests using WebdriverIO (v7+ preferred).
- Web Technologies: Good understanding of HTML5, CSS selectors, DOM manipulation, XPath, and RESTful APIs.
- CI/CD & Version Control: Hands-on experience with Git and integrating automation tests into continuous integration toolchains.
- Test Design Principles: Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, Page Object Model (POM) design pattern, and test data management.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with other modern JS/TS testing tools (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Jest, Mocha).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker .
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., Lighthouse, k6) or accessibility testing standards (WCAG, axe-core).
- Experience testing single-page applications built with React, Vue, or Angular.
