We are looking for an experienced DG Set Technician with hands-on experience in diesel generator operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing. The technician will be responsible for maintaining DG sets, carrying out A-Check and B-Check, attending breakdowns, and ensuring reliable DG performance at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine inspection, operation, and maintenance of Diesel Generator (DG) Sets.
- Carry out scheduled A-Check and B-Check preventive maintenance as per OEM/service guidelines.
- Conduct A-Check activities such as:
- Engine oil level and condition inspection.
- Coolant level and radiator inspection.
- Battery voltage and terminal inspection.
- Fuel system and fuel leakage inspection.
- Air filter inspection/cleaning.
- Belt, hose, and pipe inspection.
- Check for abnormal noise, vibration, leakage, and overheating.
- Check DG operating parameters and maintain service records.
- Conduct B-Check activities such as:
- Engine oil and oil filter replacement.
- Fuel filter replacement/servicing.
- Air filter servicing/replacement.
- Cooling system and radiator inspection.
- Battery and charging system inspection.
- Belt tension and condition checking.
- Inspection of engine components and lubrication system.
- Detailed inspection of electrical and control systems.
- Attend DG breakdown calls and troubleshoot engine, electrical, control panel, AMF panel,



and alternator-related issues.
- Monitor DG parameters such as oil pressure, coolant temperature, battery voltage, frequency, voltage, current, and engine RPM.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of AMF panels, control panels, AVR, sensors, batteries, and alternators.
- Identify and rectify fuel, coolant, oil, exhaust, and electrical-related issues.
- Ensure DG sets are maintained in safe and reliable operating condition.
- Maintain service reports, maintenance checklists, breakdown reports, and DG logbooks.
- Coordinate with the Service Manager/Operations Team for major breakdowns and technical issues.
- Follow all required safety procedures, PPE requirements, and site safety guidelines.
- Support installation, commissioning, testing, and load testing of DG sets when required.
- Ensure preventive maintenance is completed within the scheduled timeline.

Required Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with Diesel Generator Sets.
- Positive knowledge of diesel engines and alternators.
- Practical knowledge of A-Check and B-Check.
- Knowledge of AMF/Control Panels and AVR.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, batteries, chargers, sensors, and protection systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot DG breakdowns independently.
- Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Ability to read basic electrical diagrams and DG control panel indications.
