Technical Program Manager – Hardware Engineering

Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end delivery of electronic hardware programs from concept, design, validation, and NPI through volume manufacturing.
- Serve as the primary customer interface, ensuring alignment on technical requirements, milestones, deliverables, and business objectives.
- Develop and manage integrated program plans covering scope, schedule, budget, quality, and resource commitments.
- Drive cross-functional execution across hardware engineering, NPI, operations, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and sourcing teams.
- Identify, track, and mitigate technical, operational, supply chain, cost, and schedule risks throughout the program lifecycle.
- Lead engineering change management (ECO/ECR), assessing impacts to cost, schedule, product performance, and production readiness.
- Ensure product validation, compliance, reliability, and qualification activities are completed in line with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee design transfer, manufacturability reviews, production readiness assessments, and successful ramp-up into mass production.
- Monitor program KPIs including yield, quality, cost, schedule adherence, customer satisfaction, and on-time delivery performance.
- Prepare executive reviews, customer communications, program status reports, and management decision packages.

Qualifications

- B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, ECE, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong background in electronics hardware development,



product engineering, NPI, and manufacturing operations.
- Deep understanding of EMS environments including PCBA, system integration, testing, assembly, quality control, and manufacturing processes.
- Expertise in DFM, product validation, reliability testing, engineering change control, and production qualification.
- Robust knowledge of BOM management, product lifecycle management (PLM), ERP systems, and configuration management.
- Proficiency in project and program management tools such as Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of risk management, schedule development, budget control, and program governance methodologies.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.

Desired Experience Level

- 15+ years of experience in Hardware Engineering, Technical Program Management, Product Development, NPI, or EMS manufacturing environments.
- Proven track record of delivering complex electronic hardware products from design through mass production.
- Experience managing global customer programs and leading cross-functional teams across engineering and manufacturing organizations.
- Demonstrated success in customer-facing program leadership, stakeholder management, and executive-level communication.
- Strong experience coordinating distributed engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing teams across multiple locations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent programs while balancing technical, commercial, quality, and schedule objectives.
