Key Responsibilities1. Spring Machine Setting

- Set and operate machines used for manufacturing different types of springs.
- Carry out machine setting as per drawing, process sheet, and required specifications.
- Set and adjust wire feed, pitch, diameter, length, angle, and other process parameters.
- Ensure correct tooling, dies, guides, and fixtures are installed before production.
- Conduct trial runs and make necessary setting corrections.

2. CNC Machine Setting
- Set and operate CNC spring coiling/forming machines.
- Understand CNC programs and make necessary parameter adjustments.
- Perform machine setup during new product development and production changeovers.
- Troubleshoot machine-setting and dimensional issues.
- Minimize setup time and ensure smooth production changeover.

3. Spring Setter Activities
- Handle spring setter responsibilities for daily production requirements.
- Set machines for Tension Springs, Torsion Springs and other spring components.
- Monitor first-piece production and confirm dimensions before regular production.
- Make setting corrections based on inspection results.
- Support operators in machine handling and process-related issues.

4. Technical & Process Support
- Identify and resolve machine, tooling, and process-related problems.
- Support Production and Quality teams in resolving dimensional and process issues.
- Ensure machines are operated within defined process parameters.
- Assist in improving productivity, machine efficiency, and setup time.
- Support trials for new products and process development.

5. Quality & Documentation
- Ensure production is carried out according to drawings, specifications, and control plans.
- Check critical dimensions and functional requirements of springs.
- Coordinate with Quality for first-piece approval and process verification.




- Maintain required machine-setting and process records.

6. Maintenance & Safety
- Identify abnormal machine conditions and coordinate with Maintenance for corrective action.
- Ensure proper handling and use of machines, tools, dies, and measuring instruments.
- Follow company safety, 5S, and housekeeping standards.
- Ensure safe working practices during machine setting and changeover.

Required Technical Skills
- Practical knowledge of spring manufacturing processes.
- Experience in CNC spring machine setting and operation.
- Knowledge of Tension Spring and Torsion Spring manufacturing.
- Understanding of spring drawings and basic engineering specifications.
- Knowledge of machine tooling, dies, guides, and setting parameters.
- Ability to troubleshoot machine and process problems.
- Basic knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier, Micrometer, and Gauges.
- Knowledge of 5S, safety, and basic quality requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile
- Diploma / B.E. Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in spring manufacturing or a related wire-forming industry.
- Strong practical experience in machine setting is preferred.
- Candidates with experience as Spring Setter / CNC Spring Machine Setter / Spring Machine Technician can be considered.
- Valuable problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
- Willingness to work on the shop floor and support production requirements.
