1. Job Purpose
The Technical General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the overall technical and project execution functions of the organization. The role involves managing project planning, engineering, site execution, quality, technical coordination, drawings, resources, and ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, within the approved budget, and as per the required quality standards.
1. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Technical & Project Management
- Oversee the technical activities of all ongoing construction projects.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules, drawings, specifications, and budgets.
- Provide technical guidance and solutions to Project Managers, Site Engineers, and technical teams.
- Review construction methodologies, work sequences, and technical requirements.
- Ensure proper coordination between design, estimation, procurement, and site execution teams.
- Identify technical risks and implement suitable corrective measures.
B. Site Execution & Monitoring
- Regularly monitor project sites and review construction progress.
- Ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Review manpower, material, machinery, and equipment requirements.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers and Project Managers to resolve site-related issues.
- Monitor productivity and ensure planned activities are completed within timelines.
- Conduct regular site inspections and technical review meetings.
C. Drawing & Design Coordination
- Review architectural, structural, MEP, plumbing, electrical, and other technical drawings.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, structural engineers, and external agencies.
- Ensure drawings are properly reviewed and approved before execution.
- Identify discrepancies between drawings and site conditions and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain proper control over revisions and approved drawings.
D. Quality Control
- Establish and monitor quality standards across projects.
- Ensure construction activities comply with approved specifications and applicable standards.
- Coordinate with the QC team regarding inspections, testing, and quality documentation.
- Review recurring quality issues and implement preventive and corrective actions.
- Ensure proper documentation of inspections, material approvals, test reports, and quality records.

Planning & Project Coordination
- Review project schedules and ensure timely execution of planned activities.
- Coordinate with Planning, Procurement, Inventory, QS, Accounts, and HR teams as required.
- Monitor project milestones and highlight delays to management.
- Support project teams in preparing recovery plans for delayed activities.
- Participate in project review meetings and provide technical status updates to management.
F. Procurement & Material Coordination
- Review technical specifications of materials required for projects.
- Coordinate with the Purchase and Inventory teams for timely material availability.
- Verify material requirements raised by project/site teams.
- Ensure materials received at site comply with approved specifications.
- Assist in evaluating technical suitability of vendors, products, and construction materials.
G. Cost & Resource Management
- Monitor technical aspects that may affect project cost and profitability.
- Minimize material wastage, rework, and unnecessary project expenditure.
- Review resource requirements and optimize manpower, machinery, and materials.
- Coordinate with QS/Commercial teams regarding variations, additional works, and technical changes.
H. Team Management
- Lead and manage Project Managers, Site Engineers, QC Engineers, Planning Engineers, and other technical personnel.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor individual and team performance.
- Conduct regular technical review meetings.
- Identify training requirements and support the development of technical staff.
- Maintain discipline, accountability, and effective communication within the technical team.
I. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure construction activities are carried out in accordance with applicable safety requirements.
- Coordinate with the Safety team to identify and address site hazards.
- Ensure appropriate PPE and safe working practices are followed at project sites.
- Ensure technical activities comply with applicable statutory requirements and approved project standards.
J. Management Reporting
- Prepare and submit regular technical/project status reports to the MD/COO.
- Report project progress, delays,
technical issues, manpower requirements, material requirements, and major risks.
- Escalate critical technical and project issues to management with recommended corrective actions.
- Maintain proper records of project technical decisions and approvals.

1. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Engineering or a related field.
- Master's Degree in Construction Management or Project Management will be an advantage.
- Relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.

- Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience in construction/project execution.
- Strong experience in handling multiple construction projects.
- Experience in managing technical teams and site operations.
- Experience in residential, commercial, infrastructure, or similar construction projects.
- Robust knowledge of construction methods, drawings, quality control, planning, and project coordination.

1. Authority & Accountability
The Technical General Manager will have authority to coordinate and guide technical/project teams, review technical requirements, recommend corrective actions, and escalate critical project matters to senior management. The position will be accountable for the overall technical performance, execution quality, coordination, and progress of assigned projects. Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
