Role Overview The Technical Director will be responsible for ensuring technical accuracy, constructability, quality, and coordination of architectural drawings across projects. The role requires solid expertise in working drawings, detailing, building codes, consultant coordination, and resolving technical challenges from design development through construction.

The ideal candidate will act as a technical authority and reviewer, ensuring that drawings issued by the design and project teams meet Evode Studios' technical and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Review & Drawing Quality

- Review and approve architectural drawings, working drawings, GFC/IFC drawings, and detailed construction drawings.
- Check drawings for technical accuracy, constructability, coordination, and completeness.
- Identify design conflicts, technical gaps, and coordination issues before drawings are issued for construction.
- Establish and maintain drawing review and quality-control standards.
- Ensure consistency in architectural detailing across projects.

Technical Coordination

- Coordinate with structural, MEP, landscape, façade, and other consultants to resolve technical conflicts.
- Review consultant drawings and ensure proper integration with architectural drawings.
- Lead technical discussions and provide practical solutions to complex project issues.
- Coordinate between design, documentation, project, and site teams.

Construction & Site Support

- Provide technical guidance to project teams during construction.
- Review site-related technical issues, RFIs, shop drawings, material details, and construction proposals.




- Conduct critical site visits to verify that execution aligns with approved drawings and technical standards.
- Support teams in resolving construction and detailing challenges.

Codes, Standards & Compliance

- Ensure projects comply with applicable NBC, local building bye-laws, fire regulations, and relevant statutory requirements.
- Review drawings for code compliance and technical feasibility.
- Stay updated with relevant construction technologies, materials, standards, and regulations.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

- Guide architects and technical teams on drawing standards, detailing, and construction documentation.
- Train and mentor architects in technical drawing development and coordination.
- Establish best practices for documentation, detailing, and technical quality.
- Work closely with senior leadership and project heads on technical matters.

Qualifications & Skills

- Education: B.Arch / M.Arch from a recognized institution.
- Experience: 10 to 12 years of professional experience in architectural practice, with strong exposure to technical architecture and construction documentation.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of working drawings, GFC/IFC documentation, construction detailing, materials, and building systems.
- Code Knowledge:



Good understanding of NBC, building bye-laws, fire norms, and statutory requirements.
- Software: Robust proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit/BIM, SketchUp, or other relevant architectural software is preferred.
- Project Exposure: Experience in large-scale residential, high-rise, mass housing, commercial, or mixed-use projects is preferred.
- Coordination: Proven experience coordinating with structural, MEP, landscape, façade consultants, contractors, and site teams.
- Portfolio: Strong portfolio demonstrating technical expertise, drawing quality, detailing, and project execution experience is mandatory.
