Role Description The Technical Director at Livsto will oversee the end-to-end technical vision, architecture, and execution of our live streaming e-commerce platform in a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru South. This role involves leading engineering teams, setting technical standards, and ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions.

The Technical

Director will collaborate closely with product, design, and business stakeholders to translate strategic goals into robust technical roadmaps and deliverables. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding software development efforts, steering research and development initiatives, managing key technology projects, and mentoring team members to support continuous improvement. The role also requires proactive risk management, technology evaluation, and alignment of technical decisions with Livsto’s long-term product and business objectives.

Required Experience

10+ years of experience in technology leadership / engineering.





Strong experience in Fintech, Payments, Mutual Funds/Wealth Management, Insurance or Financial Services.

Experience in system architecture, scalable platforms and engineering team management.

Strong understanding of APIs, cloud infrastructure, security and up-to-date technology stacks.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Team Management and Team Leadership skills to guide, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Candidates should possess hands-on Software Development experience and the ability to define and oversee technical architecture for scalable mobile and backend systems.
- Candidates should possess experience in Research and Development (R&D;), with a focus on emerging technologies such as live streaming, real-time communication, and cloud-based infrastructure.
- Candidates should possess solid Project Management skills, including planning, prioritization, risk management, and delivery of complex technical initiatives.
- Extensive experience in leading engineering organizations in high-growth tech or e-commerce startups is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency with modern development stacks (e.g., mobile app frameworks, microservices, APIs, cloud platforms) and best practices in security, performance, and scalability is preferred.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams around technical decisions, are essential.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, is desirable.
