About the Role

Inspirisys Solutions is looking for an experienced Techno-Functional Consultant / Banking SME with strong banking domain expertise and extensive experience in Finacle Core Banking Solution (CBS).

We are looking for candidates with 15+ years of experience, having worked extensively across Banking Operations and IT / Technology functions, with a strong understanding of how banking processes operate and how they are enabled through Core Banking technology.

The candidate will act as a bridge between the Bank's business and operations teams, IT/technology teams and Inspirisys' Finacle implementation and solutioning teams. The role will involve consulting with banks, understanding their current technology landscape and business requirements, assessing Finacle product fitment, solutioning functional gaps, supporting implementation and migration programmes, and engaging with senior stakeholders.

Robust knowledge of Finacle 10.x / 11.x across multiple modules is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Banking Domain & Finacle Expertise

- Bring strong practical knowledge of banking operations, processes, products and technology, gained through extensive experience within a bank.
- Possess comprehensive functional knowledge of Core Banking – Branch Operations Customer / CIF Management , CASA / Liabilities , Loans / Advances / Assets , Trade Finance , Payment , clearing , Deposits , Interest & Charges , General Ledger / Accounting , Regulatory & Statutory requirements .
- Knowledge of other Finacle applications such as CRM, FEBA, DEH, Treasury, WMS will be an added advantage.
- Ability to handle System Study covering various parameters – CBS functionality , Business process , product configurations , Functional & Technology gaps.
- Analyse the Bank's existing system and business requirements against Finacle base product capabilities and determine product fitment.
- Participate in the Pre-DRG phase and identify functional gaps , recommend appropriate approaches for plugging gaps.
- Conduct DRG (Detailed Requirement Gathering) workshops with Bank stakeholders.
- Translate business and operational requirements into clear functional requirements , , prepare and review MRD (Master Requirement Document) ,Solutioning Approach, RSA and other functional solution documents across relevant Finacle modules.

Finacle Implementation, Migration & Transformation

- Participate in Finacle CBS implementation, upgrade, transformation and migration programmes.
- Participate in BPD (Business Parameter Definition) workshops .
- Work closely with technical and development teams to ensure that functional requirements are correctly translated into technical solutions.
- Review development outputs against approved functional requirements and solution documents.
- Support implementation teams in resolving functional issues and dependencies.




- Understand and contribute to CBS migration methodologies, data mapping, migration validation and reconciliation.
- Support cutover planning, readiness assessment and Go-Live activities.

Testing, UAT & Go-Live

- Prepare detailed functional test scenarios and test cases covering business processes and Finacle functionality.
- Review test results and ensure appropriate documentation of defects and resolutions.
- Work closely with Bank users to clarify requirements, explain system functionality and resolve functional issues.
- Analyse defects raised during SIT/UAT, identify root causes and coordinate with development/technical teams for resolution.
- Provide functional support during UAT, cutover and Go-Live.

Banking Operations & Business Consulting

- Leverage prior banking experience to advise clients on process optimisation, operational improvements and technology-enabled transformation through Finacle functionality and technology
- Understand the practical challenges faced by branches, operations teams, product teams, finance, compliance and IT teams.
- Facilitate communication between Bank business users and technology teams and ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.

Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management

- Act as a functional SME / consultant for Inspirisys on Bank engagements.
- Ability & Inclination to Interface directly with CIO / CTO / IT Heads
- Conduct workshops, presentations, product demonstrations and functional walkthroughs for Bank stakeholders.

Pre-Sales, RFP & Solution Consulting

- Contribute to RFP / RFI responses, proposals and solution documents for banking technology engagements.
- Analyse RFP requirements and translate them into functional and solution requirements.
- Support scope definition, estimation and solution architecture discussions from the functional perspective.
- Support Inspirisys' sales team in identifying opportunities for Finacle implementation, upgrade, migration, integration and application services.

Training & Knowledge Management

- Conduct Finacle End User Training and Train-the-Trainer programmes for Bank users.
- Develop training material, user guides, process documents and functional manuals.
- Mentor junior functional consultants and build internal Finacle functional capability.
- Contribute to creation and maintenance of reusable banking and Finacle knowledge assets.





Technical / Techno-Functional Knowledge The candidate should possess sufficient technical understanding to effectively interface with technology and development teams. Knowledge of the following will be an advantage:

- Finacle database / tables and data structures
- Finacle Customisation Framework
- Finacle interfaces and integration concepts
- APIs / web services
- CBS integration with digital channels and other enterprise applications
- Data migration methodologies
- Data mapping and reconciliation
- Batch processing / EOD-BOD concepts
- Application architecture and system interfaces
- Basic SQL / database knowledge
- Defect analysis and troubleshooting

The candidate need not be a programmer but should be sufficiently technology-savvy to understand the technical implications of functional requirements and communicate effectively with technical teams. Required Experience & Qualifications

Essential

- 15+ years of overall experience in Banking / Banking Technology / Functional Consulting.
- Strong preference for candidates who have worked in a Bank, particularly in both:
- Banking Operations / Business functions; and
- IT / Technology / CBS functions.
- Strong experience with Finacle Core Banking Solution, preferably Finacle 10.x / 11.x.
- Experience in at least one or more of:
- CBS Implementation
- CBS Upgrade
- CBS Migration

- Production Support
- UAT / Testing
- Proven experience in interacting directly with Bank business and IT stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation and documentation skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- Willingness to travel to client locations across India and international locations, including for extended assignments and at short notice when required.

Preferred

- Prior experience as a Bank IT Head / Senior IT Manager / CBS Manager / Banking Operations Head / Functional SME / Core Banking Consultant.
- Experience in large-scale Finacle transformation or migration programmes.
- Experience in international banking projects.
- Exposure to Digital Banking, Payments, APIs, Open Banking or enterprise integration.
- Experience in consulting / system integration organisations.
- Relevant banking / technology certifications would be an advantage.
