? About the Role

Reporting to the IS&T; Infrastructure Operations Manager , the Microsoft Teams Specialist will serve as an L3 Subject Matter Expert responsible for the management, optimisation, and support of Microsoft Teams services across Alstom's global environment.

This role will work closely with UCC Architects, Microsoft, and cross-functional IT teams to ensure the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of Teams collaboration and telephony services.

Key Responsibilities

Work with Architect to lead and support Microsoft Teams implementation and enhancement projects

Drive migration initiatives from traditional telephony systems to Microsoft Teams Phone System

Configure and manage Teams Rooms, conference devices, audio/video equipment, and collaboration endpoints

Analyze and troubleshoot call quality issues using Call Quality Dashboard (CQD) and Teams diagnostic tools

Manage Teams Phone System, Dial-in Conferencing, Communications Credits, and licensing optimization

Support and manage global live events and enterprise conferencing solutions

Develop and manage custom Teams applications and integrations

Research, test, and deploy new Microsoft Teams features and capabilities

Generate and maintain Teams usage reports, meeting analytics, call statistics, and license reports

Collaborate with Microsoft, UCC teams, Networking, Security, ServiceNow,



and Global Support teams to resolve complex incidents and service requests

Experience evaluating Microsoft roadmap updates and new feature releases

Hands on expertise on Auto Attendants and Call Queues

Teams Direct Routing (Preferred)

Teams Meeting & Voice Policies

Hands on expertise on Teams Call Quality Dashboard (CQD)

Teams Signalling and Troubleshooting

Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR)

Teams Device Management

⁠Strong knowledge in Graph API & PowerShell Scripting

⁠Understanding of M365 associated application such as Power platform, power bi platform etc.

Roadmap and new features risk assessment and business requirements analysis

Voice & Telephony

- Teams Phone System administration
- PSTN, SBC, SBA, PBX, and Voice Gateway configuration
- Direct Routing experience (preferred)
- IP Telephony management and support
- VoIP protocols including SIP, RTP/RTCP, SRTP, HTTPS, DNS, and DHCP

Devices & Meeting Rooms

- Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR)
- Poly CCX 400/500/600
- Poly Trio 8800
- Lenovo Smart Hubs
- Yealink devices

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

- Call Quality Dashboard (CQD)
- Teams log analysis and signaling troubleshooting
- Wireshark and Fiddler
- Teams monitoring and reporting tools




- Root cause analysis and service improvement initiatives

Automation & Administration

- PowerShell scripting and administration for Microsoft Teams
- Reporting, monitoring, and operational optimization

Education & Experience

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (B.E / B.Tech) or equivalent
- 5-8 years of experience supporting Microsoft Teams and Unified Communications environments
- Experience managing enterprise-scale collaboration platforms
