Yalabs is a Chennai-based software development studio building products and delivering projects for US healthtech, Singapore proptech/HR-tech, and fintech clients. We work across full-stack web development, AI/LLM systems, and automation platforms.

About the Role

We're looking for a Team Lead / Delivery Lead to own end-to-end delivery of client projects —

from requirement gathering through development to launch. You'll manage a small team of developers, work directly with clients, and make sure projects ship on time without compromising quality.

This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll review code, unblock your team technically, run client calls, and keep projects organized — not a pure management role, and not a pure IC role.

Responsibilities

Client Management

- Run client calls and requirement-gathering workshops
- Translate client requirements into clear technical specs and user stories
- Manage scope, timelines, and expectations; flag risks early
- Present progress, demos, and deliverables to stakeholders

Team Leadership
- Lead a team of 2–4 developers across one or more concurrent projects
- Break down requirements into epics, tasks, and sprints
- Review code and pull requests for quality, architecture fit, and best practices Unblock developers on technical decisions and mentor junior team members
- Run standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives

Delivery & Process
- Own the project board (Trello/Jira) — tasks, priorities, blockers
- Track progress against timeline and communicate slippage early
- Coordinate QA,



UAT, and go-live
- Maintain documentation: specs, architecture notes, handover docs

Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with design, QA, and other developers across projects
- Coordinate with founder/leadership on architecture decisions and resourcing
- Collaborate with other Yalabs teams when projects overlap

What We're Looking For Must-Have
- 4–6 years of experience in software development, with demonstrated project/delivery

ownership
- Strong hands-on technical background (full-stack web development — React, Node.js,

or similar)
- Experience managing or mentoring a small team of developers
- Comfortable leading client calls and communicating technical concepts to non-technical

stakeholders
- Ability to write clear requirements and technical specs
- Strong ownership mentality — you don't wait to be told what to do next

Good to Have
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Microsoft 365/Graph API)

- Exposure to AI/LLM integrations

- Experience with agile/scrum delivery
- Prior client-facing consulting or agency experience What Success Looks Like

- Leadership doesn't need to get involved in day-to-day execution

Growth Path This role has a transparent path to Engineering Manager / Head of Delivery as Yalabs scales. Strong developers who show leadership and client-facing ability are encouraged to apply and grow into this role over time.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
