Role & Responsibilities:

- Lead and drive end-to-end New Product Development (NPD) activities in alignment with business strategy, product roadmap and innovation objectives.

- Drive structured product and subsystem development, from conceptualization and feasibility through design, validation and launch.

- Ensure effective execution of design verification and validation activities to meet customer requirements, quality, reliability and performance expectations.

- Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with R&D;, Quality, SCM, Production, PMO and other stakeholders for successful project execution.

- Monitor project milestones, risks, cost, quality and timelines to ensure timely delivery of NPD projects.

- Drive design optimization, problem solving and continuous improvement to enhance product performance, reliability and cost-effectiveness.

- Ensure smooth transition from product development to production, including validation, documentation and launch readiness.

- Contribute to product lifecycle management and identify opportunities for product improvement and competitiveness.

- Establish and standardize product development processes, methodologies and best practices to improve development efficiency.

- Foster innovation, technology development,



external collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.

- Support IP/patent development and protection initiatives arising from product innovation.

- Develop team capability through mentoring, training, knowledge sharing and succession planning.

- Ensure effective utilization of development infrastructure and budgets in support of product innovation.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

- BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering discipline.

- 12 to 18 years of experience in Current Product Development, Product Development, R&D; or Product Engineering.

- Strong experience in end-to-end product development and NPD project execution.

- Experience in product/subsystem development, design validation, design optimization and launch readiness.

- Strong exposure to cross-functional team management and stakeholder coordination.

- Experience in structured problem-solving, risk management and continuous improvement.

- Exposure to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), DFM/DFA, FMEA and engineering change management would be an advantage.

- Strong understanding of product development processes, engineering practices and manufacturing transition.

- Leadership experience in managing and developing engineering/R&D; teams.
