We are looking for an experienced Team Lead Merchandising to manage day-to-day merchandising operations and lead a team in a fast-paced textile environment.

The role will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate execution of merchandising activities while maintaining SLA, TAT, productivity and quality standards. The person will also work closely with cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, drive process improvements and develop the team.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in the Textile / Home Textile industry, along with proven experience in merchandising and team management.

Key Responsibilities:

Team & Operations Management

- Lead and manage the merchandising team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Plan and allocate workload based on business volume, priorities, complexity and team capacity.
- Monitor team performance, productivity, quality and turnaround time.
- Ensure all activities are completed within agreed SLA and TAT.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback to team members.
- Drive employee engagement, recognition, cross-training and team development.
- Support succession planning and build backup resources for critical activities.

Process & Quality Management

- Monitor operational performance and identify bottlenecks, recurring issues and process gaps.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure adherence to defined processes, SOPs, quality standards and process controls.
- Drive standardization of activities and maintain updated SOPs and process documentation.
- Identify operational,



quality and SLA risks and take timely corrective action.
- Ensure readiness for governance, compliance and audit requirements.

Stakeholder Management

- Act as a key point of contact for Marketing, Plant, PPC, Product Development, Sales/Business, IT, Finance and Quality teams.
- Understand business requirements and translate them into clear operational actions.
- Conduct regular stakeholder reviews and provide timely updates on progress, risks, delays and exceptions.
- Own escalations and coordinate with relevant teams to drive issues through resolution.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and ensure a high level of service delivery.

Process Improvement & Automation

- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and service quality.
- Partner with Digital, IT and Automation teams to implement process improvements and automation.
- Optimize team capacity and support FTE productivity and absorption through process improvement and automation.
- Track improvement initiatives and measure their impact on productivity, quality and turnaround time.

Transition & Knowledge Management

- Support new process and business transitions through structured transition plans.




- Coordinate knowledge transfer, training, SOP creation and process stabilization.
- Ensure smooth ramp-up of transitioned processes and achievement of agreed SLA and quality standards.
- Identify improvement opportunities during and after the transition.

Reporting & Governance

- Prepare and present operational performance in management reviews.
- Track and report key metrics such as SLA, TAT, productivity, quality, backlog and improvement initiatives.
- Maintain appropriate governance and performance dashboards.
- Ensure clear accountability and timely closure of action items.

Required Skills & Experience

- 6-12 years of overall experience with relevant experience in Textile / Home Textile industry.
- Strong experience in Textile Merchandising / Home Textile Merchandising.
- Proven experience in team handling and people management.
- Experience managing SLA, TAT, productivity and quality metrics.
- Strong knowledge of process management, SOPs and standardization.
- Experience in RCA, problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Robust stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Experience working with teams such as Marketing, Plant, PPC, Product Development, Quality, IT and Finance will be preferred.
- Good understanding of performance management, coaching, cross-training and succession planning.
- Exposure to process transition, knowledge transfer, automation or process improvement will be an advantage.
- Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
