We are looking for an experienced and agile Design - TL to lead our Engineering & Design Department. The candidate will be responsible for concept development, detailed engineering, innovation, and timely execution of Special Purpose Machines (SPM), robotic cells, and turnkey automation projects.
- Lead Mechanical, Electrical, and Automation design teams.
- Develop innovative machine concepts based on customer requirements.
- Approve detailed design drawings, 3D models, and calculations.
- Ensure project timelines for design release are met.
- Optimize design for cost, manufacturability, and performance.
- Oversee motor sizing, gearbox selection, pneumatic circuits, and cycle time calculations.
- Conduct design reviews and technical discussions with customers.
- Implement design standards and documentation systems.
- Support machine trials, debugging, and commissioning.
- Mentor and develop design engineers.
Preferred candidate profile
- Strong experience in SPM and industrial automation design.
- Hands-on expertise in SolidWorks /Solid Edge/AutoCAD / Inventor
- Knowledge of GD&T;, tolerance stack-up, and FMEA.
- Experience with pneumatics, servo systems, gear mechanisms.
- Understanding of robotics integration is an advantage.
- Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
