Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Teamcenter Product Configurator Specialist to design, implement, and maintain product configuration solutions within Siemens Teamcenter PLM. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Teamcenter's Product Configurator (Variant Configuration / 150% BOM) module and will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and IT teams to model configurable products, define rules and constraints, and streamline the process of translating customer requirements into valid, manufacturable product configurations.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain configurable product structures (150% BOMs) using Teamcenter Product Configurator.

Define and manage variability, features, options, and configuration rules/constraints across product families.

Translate business and engineering requirements into configuration logic, ensuring accuracy and consistency across the product structure.

Collaborate with systems engineering, product management, and manufacturing teams to capture configuration requirements.

Develop and maintain classification structures, variant conditions, and configuration expressions.

Perform configuration validation, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure valid product configurations are generated correctly.

Integrate Product Configurator with downstream systems (ERP, CPQ, MES) to support order-to-delivery processes.

Support release management and change control processes (ECRs/ECOs) as they relate to configurable BOM structures.

Create and maintain technical documentation, including configuration rules, business logic, and process workflows.

Provide training and support to engineering and business users on configurator usage and best practices.

Participate in Teamcenter upgrades, migrations, and customization projects related to product configuration.





Troubleshoot and resolve configuration-related defects and performance issues.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

3+ years of hands-on experience with Siemens Teamcenter, including direct experience with the Product Configurator / Variant Configuration module.

Solid understanding of 150% BOM modeling, variant conditions, features, families, and configuration rules.

Experience with Teamcenter data model, classification, and BOM management (Structure Manager, Multi-Structure Manager).

Familiarity with PLM/ERP integration concepts (e.g., SAP Variant Configuration, Teamcenter-SAP integration).

Solid understanding of engineering change management processes (ECR/ECO) in a PLM environment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Teamcenter customization using BMIDE, Active Workspace, or Rich Client Platform (RCP) configuration.

Knowledge of scripting/programming (ITK, SOA, Java, or C++) for Teamcenter customizations.

Experience with CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) tools and their integration with PLM.

Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) or Model-Based Definition (MBD) practices.

Siemens Teamcenter certification(s).

Experience in industries such as automotive, aerospace, industrial equipment, or high-tech manufacturing.
