Key Responsibilities

- Ensure timely and accurate compliance with GST, Income Tax, TDS/TCS, Advance Tax, FCRA, and other applicable tax regulations.
- Review financial transactions, contracts, business models, and commercial arrangements to evaluate direct and indirect tax implications.
- Oversee GST compliance including return filings, ITC validation, sales reconciliations, and resolution of mismatches.
- Manage TDS compliance including deduction, deposit, return filing, reconciliations, and vendor tax compliance monitoring.
- Handle tax assessments, notices, audits, appeals, and litigation matters with tax authorities.
- Coordinate with tax consultants, legal advisors, auditors, and regulatory authorities on taxation matters.
- Lead tax audit activities and provide required schedules, documentation, and explanations.
- Review tax provisions, advance tax computations,



and statutory tax disclosures.
- Manage foreign remittance compliances, including Form 15CA, Form 15CB and related withholding tax requirements.
- Monitor tax risks and implement controls to strengthen compliance and governance.
- Drive tax planning and optimization initiatives within the framework of applicable laws.
- Analyse changes in tax laws and assess their impact on business operations and financial reporting.
- Support business and finance teams on tax matters involving new initiatives, transactions, and process changes.
- Develop and maintain tax compliance calendars, SOPs, trackers, and MIS reports for management review.
- Lead process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy of tax processes.

Skill and Competencies

- Robust knowledge of GST, Income Tax, TDS/TCS, Advance Tax, international remittance compliances (Form 15CA/15CB), tax audits and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to manage tax notices, assessments, audits, appeals, departmental proceedings, and interactions with tax authorities.
- Expertise in reviewing complex financial transactions, performing GST/TDS reconciliations, validating tax positions, identifying compliance gaps, and mitigating tax risks.
- Capability to assess tax implications of business decisions, recommend tax-efficient structures, and drive tax optimization initiatives while ensuring compliance.
- Good communication and interpersonal skill to collaborate with business teams, auditors, consultants, legal advisors, and senior management, while clearly communicating tax risks, opportunities, and compliance requirements.

Education and Experience

- CA Inter or CA with 10-15 years of experience in Direct and Indirect Taxation.
- Prior experience with a Big 4 accounting firm (Deloitte, EY, KPMG, or PwC) is preferred.
- Must have Manufacturing or Service Industry experience
