Sanmed Healthcare looking out for Tablet Compression Operator, in Tablet manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

1. Machine Operation

· Operate tablet compression machines as per approved SOPs, BMR/BPR and production instructions.

· Set and operate compression parameters such as machine speed, compression force, fill depth and tablet weight as instructed.

· Ensure correct tooling, punches and dies are fitted before commencing production.

· Monitor machine performance during the complete compression operation.

2. In-Process Controls

· Check and maintain tablet weight, hardness, thickness, friability, appearance and other specified parameters at defined intervals.

· Record in-process results accurately in the Batch Manufacturing Record (BMR) and relevant logbooks.

· Immediately inform the Production/QA team of any out-of-specification or abnormal observations.

3. Production & Yield

· Achieve daily production targets while maintaining required quality and GMP standards.

· Minimize machine stoppages, rejects, powder wastage and material losses.

· Monitor yield and report significant deviations or unusual material consumption.

4. GMP & Documentation

· Follow cGMP, SOPs, safety procedures and Valuable Documentation Practices (GDP).

· Ensure proper line clearance before starting a batch.

· Maintain accurate records of machine operation, cleaning, production quantities and downtime.

· Ensure proper identification and status labelling of materials and equipment.

5. Machine Cleaning & Maintenance

· Carry out machine and area cleaning as per approved cleaning SOPs.

· Ensure proper dismantling, cleaning and assembly of punches, dies and product-contact parts.

· Report machine abnormalities,



breakdowns and tooling damage to the Engineering/Maintenance and Production teams.

· Perform basic operator-level troubleshooting within authorized limits.

6. Tooling Management

· Inspect punches and dies before and after use.

· Handle and store compression tooling carefully to prevent damage.

· Report damaged, worn or defective tooling immediately.

· Maintain tooling usage/inspection records as applicable.

7. Safety & Housekeeping

· Follow all EHS and machine-safety requirements.

· Use prescribed PPE at all times.

· Maintain cleanliness and 5S standards in the compression area.

· Ensure safe handling of powders and prevent cross-contamination.

8. Coordination

· Coordinate with Production, QA/QC, Warehouse and Engineering teams for smooth batch execution.

· Inform the supervisor about production delays, material shortages, machine problems or quality concerns.

· Support changeovers and product-to-product cleaning activities.

Minimum Qualification: ITI / Diploma / relevant technical qualification preferred

Experience: 1 - 3 years in tablet compression in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment preferred.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
