What Are We Looking For?

We are looking for a System Engineer – UAV with 2–5 years of hands-on experience in UAV/drone systems, system integration, testing, and troubleshooting .

The candidate will be responsible for integrating and validating different UAV subsystems, including flight controllers, motors, ESCs, batteries, sensors, communication systems, payloads, and embedded electronics . The ideal candidate should have a positive understanding of UAV architecture and the ability to troubleshoot system-level technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

1. UAV System Integration

- Support the integration of complete UAV systems and subsystems.
- Integrate flight controllers, motors, ESCs, batteries, sensors, GPS, communication modules, payloads, and other electronic components .
- Ensure proper communication and interoperability between hardware and software components.
- Perform system-level configuration and integration of UAV platforms.
- Assist in identifying and resolving integration issues.

1. System Testing & Validation

- Conduct functional, system-level, and field testing of UAV platforms.
- Prepare and execute system test plans and test cases.
- Perform pre-flight and post-flight system checks.
- Collect and analyze flight and system performance data.
- Identify system-level failures and support corrective actions.
- Validate UAV performance against defined technical requirements.

Flight Controller & UAV Configuration

- Configure and calibrate flight controllers and related UAV systems.
- Support PID tuning and flight parameter optimization .
- Configure sensors, GPS, telemetry, communication systems, and other peripherals.
- Troubleshoot flight-control and system configuration issues.
- Support flight testing and performance optimization.

1. Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution

- Diagnose hardware, software, electrical, and communication-related issues at the system level.
- Troubleshoot issues related to motors, ESCs, batteries, flight controllers, sensors, GPS, telemetry, and communication interfaces .
- Perform root-cause analysis of recurring system failures.
- Work with Electronics, Embedded, Mechanical, and Software teams to resolve technical issues.
- Maintain records of identified issues, troubleshooting activities, and resolutions.

1. System Requirements & Documentation

- Support preparation and maintenance of system-level requirements and technical specifications.
- Prepare system integration, test, and validation documentation.
- Maintain test reports, issue logs, configuration records, and technical documentation.
- Support preparation of system architecture and interface documentation.
- Ensure proper documentation of system changes and configurations.

1. Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with Mechanical, Electronics, Embedded, RF, Software, Manufacturing, and Quality teams .
- Coordinate with engineering teams during prototype development and system integration.




- Provide technical inputs during design reviews and product development activities.
- Support production teams during product testing and troubleshooting.
- Communicate technical issues and progress to relevant stakeholders.

1. Field Testing & Product Support

- Participate in UAV field trials and flight testing.
- Support testing under different operating conditions and environments.
- Monitor UAV performance during field operations.
- Identify and report system-level issues observed during testing.
- Support engineering teams in implementing improvements based on field-test results.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics , or a related field.
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in UAVs, drones, robotics, aerospace, embedded systems, or similar hardware products.
- Practical experience in UAV assembly, integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Experience working with flight controllers such as Pixhawk, Cube, or similar platforms will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with UAV communication protocols, telemetry systems, sensors, and GPS.
- Experience with autonomous or semi-autonomous UAV systems will be an added advantage.
- Experience in defense or industrial UAV applications will be an advantage.
