We are hiring an experienced Surface Grinding Operator to operate and set up surface grinding machines for precision finishing of machine components. The candidate should have knowledge of surface grinding operations, grinding wheel selection, dressing, machine setting and precision inspection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and set up Surface Grinding Machine for precision machining.
- Perform surface grinding, flat grinding and precision finishing operations.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions and tolerances.
- Select and dress appropriate grinding wheels according to material and job requirements.
- Set and align workpieces using magnetic chuck, fixtures and other work-holding devices.
- Maintain required flatness, parallelism, dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
- Check components using Micrometer, Vernier, Height Gauge, Dial Gauge and other precision measuring instruments.
- Perform grinding wheel dressing and basic machine adjustments.
- Coordinate with Production and Quality teams to meet production and quality requirements.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain proper housekeeping.
Preferred Experience: 2–8 years of experience as a Surface Grinding Operator / Surface Grinder / Precision Grinding Operator, preferably in heavy engineering, machine manufacturing or machine-tool industries.
